Hi Dancers,

Glad to hear some of you tried out Sparky's Roadhouse over the weekend and had a good time. Jon and I stopped in on Saturday afternoon to check out the place. Really nice decor, but we were disappointed in the concrete dance floor. In talking with a bartender there, she said that the owners are looking for customer feedback on the place. She was in agreement with us regarding the dance floor shortcomings. Thought we might benefit by emailing owners with requests for raised wood dance floor. Who knows, maybe they would add one. If you want to drop the owners a line, go to Golden Tavern Group and reference Sparky's Roadhouse in Carson. It is great to have a place in Carson that wants dancing! See you out on the floor.

Remember that next week, dancing at El Charo's will be on Tuesday nights starting at 6:30. That will be September 9th. Hope to see you there. Sorry that it conflicts with Comma Coffee's salsa classes and dance. We'll probably switch back to Mondays once Monday Night Football is over.

Dance classes started this week for a new month series with Jim and Donna teaching West Coast Swing intermediate (7:00 pm) and Country 2 Step (8:00pm) on Thursdays at the Brewery Arts Center Grand Ballroom; Tom and Donna Betterton teaching Country Two Sep beginning at 6:30pm in the Genoa Town Hall on Wednesdays; and Roberto Hernandez teaching salsa lessons at 7:00 pm at Comma Coffee on Tuesdays (except second Tuesday of the month which is East Coast Swing).

The next beginning west coast swing dance six week session begins Thursday, October 2nd with Jim and Donna at the BAC Grand Ballroom. Mark your calendars now.
