Job Title:            Contest Director 

Responsible to:    President and Board of Directors

Qualifications:

· Directors general qualifications

· Ability to communicate effectively

· Ability to be self starting and enlist enthusiasm of membership

Job Summary:  

· Coordinate and direct all Jack & Jill contests

· Coordinates any raffles and/or other contests

· Prepare contest updates for the Newsletter

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Establish a committee of at least 3 members to assist in the duties of Contest Director

· Jack & Jill contests:

1. Decide which months are what type of contest

2. Create rules and parameters for contests

3. Obtain judges and prizes

4. Promote the dance contests by providing info to Editorial Director and Activities Director for inclusion in Newsletter and Flyers

5. Create contest sign-in sheets

6. Create judges information Sheet for judges

7. Conduct contestants meeting, Judges meeting

8. Gather prizes

9. Conduct the awards ceremony

· Conduct Other Raffles and Contests:

1. Decide which months and what types of contests - such as raffle for Ball, Halloween Costume Contest

2. Gather prizes

3. Manage raffle tickets

4. Provide voting ballots for contests

5. Organize tallying of votes

6. Manage distributing of prizes
